On the 3rd days of Floods in eastern Malaysia, my friend (nasran) and me, decided to took off from Uitm Hotel Dungun, to West Coast Malaysia,
the planned route was;
Dungun - Tok Lijah - Pelong - Kg Basung - Kenyor Lake - Felda Aring - Gua Musang - Cameron Highland - Sg. koyan _- Raub - Bentong - Kuala Lumpur
MISSION FAILED. WE ONLY MANAGED TO RIDE TILL FELDA ARING , WHICH IS ANOTHER 60 KILOMETERS TO GUA MUSANG, DUE TO ROADS BEEN CUT OFF, ( IF I MAY SAY).....BY WATER..HEAVY FLOODS......
FLOOD WATER ON THE ROAD....WE STOPPED HERE....AND MAKE A U TURN, TO ANOTHER 184 KILOMETERS...
REFUELING IN A GROCERY SHOP KAMPONG BASUNG , TASIK KENYIR.....NO MORE PHONE SIGNAL AND NO MORE ELECTRICITY......
FINALLY REFUELLED WITH 10 BOTTLES OF 'COCA-COLA'..AND 5 EXTRA BOTTLES .....TAKE AWAY.....THE K5 (PICTURED AT THE BACK) AS PACE MAKER AND SUPPORT CAR....THANKS TO NASRAN
Our first attempt to cross to via felda Aring was failed, therefore we had to make a quick u-turn to Bandar Permaisuri - Jerteh - Machang - ( didnt take the exit to Kuala Krai Gua Musang, since Kuala krai also now flooded), instead we proceed to Jeli, for an hour break.
Had a very nice "Sup Belut, steam rice, and Sup Ekor" - excellent stuffs in the middle of the night and amid heavy rains.
proceed after the meals, to Jeli to refuel, before heading up to lebuh raya Timur Barat to Gerik, Perak.
The ride up the Titiwangsa range was a bit cold due to rain and heavy fogs plus numbers of truckers and buses
Arrived Gerik , checked in at Gerik rest House @ 0345.
Alhamdulillah, praised be to ALLAH FOR HIS GUIDANCE, FOR HELPING AND TO BE WITH US.
